How do Lean UX teams work? Come to this session not only to find out but to actually experience and do it yourself.

In this session, participants will experience UX methods to determine the right minimal amount of functionality that you can ship (Minimal Viable Product) that is what your users need/want the most.

In this fast-paced highly collaborative session (aka design studio), participants will experience the power of lean (quick and lightweight) UX methods first hand by applying fast and effective techniques that will force teams to diverge and converge and, most importantly, to validate their assumptions about users and usability very early in the design and development stages.

This workshop is primarily designed for participants to experience two of the key core concepts of Lean UX:

1) everybody (regardless of role and status) can do Lean UX. Yes, you can too!

2) In order to come up with creative solutions, you first need to diverge and then converge. Divergence as an individual, also helps people to not get attached to one specific idea or design, and thus opens people for accepting other people's ideas and for effective collaboration.

Lean UX takes #2 from Design Thinking, which is one of its main foundations. There is plenty of support -both in the form of studies and articles- that “the best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas”. It is a key component of creativity and it is a tool that good designers and teams use on a regular basis to delight their users with new products and functionality.

Come ready to do some design and collaboration and don't forget to bring other team members or colleagues!
